A motorcycle crash on Devils Lake Highway in Woodstock Township resulted in one fatality and a serious injury late Saturday night.
LENAWEE COUNTY, Mich. — A 34-year-old woman from Hillsdale was pronounced dead at the scene, and a 36-year-old man was hospitalized with potentially serious injuries following a motorcycle crash on Devils Lake Highway. The incident occurred around 11:30 p.m. Saturday in the 6900 block, just north of Waters Edge Drive.
According to the Lenawee County Sheriff’s Office, the motorcycle, a 2023 Harley-Davidson FLXSH, was traveling northbound when the driver lost control, veering off the west side of the roadway and striking a mailbox. Both riders were ejected from the motorcycle.
Witnesses reported that the initial caller provided CPR to the driver until emergency responders arrived. Neither rider was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident, and authorities indicated that alcohol may have played a role in the crash.
The investigation is ongoing, being conducted by the Lenawee County Accident Investigation Team. The names of the victims have not yet been released.
