Witnesses reported difficulties in anticipating motorcycle movements on congested highways. “I’m looking into my rear-view mirror, and I can see them coming up behind me and I’m like, ‘Oh Lord,’” said Waterbury resident Minnie Ings.
Drivers emphasized the need for caution and patience on the roads. “Take it easy. You’re going to get there somehow, some way,” urged Wilmarie Ramirez, also of Waterbury.
CTDOT advises motorcyclists to wear helmets, obey speed limits, and ride defensively to enhance roadway safety for all users.
