Davenport, Iowa — Nearly one year after a fatal motorcycle crash, authorities are still searching for the suspect believed to be responsible.
The crash occurred on May 26, 2025, involving a motorcycle driven by 41-year-old Alex Uthoff, with 31-year-old Samantha Burke as a passenger. Burke was killed in the incident, and Uthoff remains at large, according to Davenport Police.
A cash reward is currently offered through Crime Stoppers of the Quad Cities for information leading to Uthoff’s arrest. The reward amount has reached $2,000.
In memory of Burke, her family organized a fundraiser, hosting a pool tournament at Bulldog Arms, 2211 Grant Street in Bettendorf, Iowa, on Saturday. The tournament began at 1 p.m., followed by a candlelight vigil at 8 p.m.
Funds raised will contribute to the existing reward for information on Uthoff’s whereabouts. “We need somebody to come forward with information,” said Mike Burke, Samantha’s father.
Witnesses reported a community outpouring of support during the event, aimed at keeping Burke’s memory alive and seeking justice for her death.
