RICHLAND COUNTY, N.D. (KVRR) — A bike crash in Richland County on Tuesday afternoon resulted in the death of 45-year-old Mariah Buck, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
Buck, a resident of Fairmount, was struck from behind by a vehicle while riding on County Road 81. Authorities reported that she was not wearing a helmet and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver, 33-year-old Danielle Stein from Hankinson, sustained minor injuries. Emergency response teams attended the scene, and no additional vehicles were involved.
A GoFundMe has been established to support Buck’s family, highlighting her role as a wife and mother. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
