Family of deceased motorcyclist calls for justice in hit-and-run case.

Hit-and-Run Crash in Salisbury Kills One Motorcyclist, Injures Two Others

SALISBURY, N.C. — A hit-and-run incident involving four motorcycles resulted in the death of Jody Holloman the evening of September 29.

According to authorities, the crash occurred around 9:30 p.m. on South Main Street near Airport Road when a car turned into the path of the riders. The driver and two passengers fled the scene after the collision.

Holloman died at the scene, while two other motorcyclists, Lee Hageman and Tad Moore, sustained injuries and are currently recovering. They were on a dinner outing with Holloman at the time of the accident.

Witnesses reported that the driver and her passengers ran past Holloman after the crash, prompting outrage from family members who seek justice. “It takes a cold-hearted person to run past somebody like that,” said Zac Holloman, the victim’s son.

Emergency responders from the SALISBURY FIRE DEPARTMENT and local paramedics arrived quickly, but Holloman was pronounced dead at the scene. The investigation is underway, and no further details on the suspects have been released as of now.

Authorities have urged anyone with information to contact the Salisbury Police Department. Lane closures were implemented on South Main Street for clean-up and investigation purposes.

No arrests have been made at this time.
