FARGO, N.D. – A head-on collision in Fargo on September 17 resulted in serious injuries for a motorcyclist.
According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, 41-year-old Trent Hickey was traveling northbound on 36th St. N at approximately 9:50 p.m. when he crossed into the southbound lane.
Hickey struck a GMC pickup driven by 41-year-old Justin Skramstad of West Fargo. Hickey was ejected from his motorcycle and both he and the bike came to rest in the southbound lane.
Authorities reported that Hickey, not wearing a helmet, sustained serious, life-threatening injuries and was transported to Sanford Medical Center in Fargo. He has been cited for driving under the influence.
Skramstad did not sustain injuries. The incident is currently under investigation.
