RENO, Nev. (KOLO) – A two-vehicle accident resulted in one fatality on U.S. Route 50 at Ramsey Weeks Cutoff in Silver Springs on Thursday, May 4, at 5:39 p.m., according to Nevada State Police.
Authorities confirmed that eastbound U.S. Route 50 is closed at Topaz Street due to the collision.
Ramsey Weeks Cutoff remains closed between Spruce Avenue and U.S. Route 50 as police investigate.
Lane closures are anticipated to last until at least 10 p.m., authorities said.
Drivers are advised to avoid the area.
