Fatal Crash Closes Glenn Highway Southbound for Hours
A multi-vehicle crash on the southbound Glenn Highway resulted in two fatalities and serious injuries Thursday morning.
The incident occurred just before 8:30 a.m. between the Hiland exit and Muldoon, resulting in significant traffic delays. Authorities confirmed that four vehicles were involved, including a Ford F-150 that crossed the median into southbound lanes.
One child was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. The Anchorage Police Department’s Major Collision Investigation Unit is on-site to manage the investigation.
Emergency crews and the Anchorage Fire Department responded to the scene, which prompted lane closures for several hours. Motorists are advised to avoid the area as roads remain impacted.
