STOCKTON SPRINGS, Maine (WGME) — A 77-year-old woman was killed in a head-on collision on Route 1 in Stockton Springs at 6:10 p.m. Monday.
Maine State Police reported that a truck driven by a 42-year-old man from Belfast was traveling westbound when it collided with an eastbound SUV operated by Anne Pomroy of Old Orchard Beach. Pomroy died at the scene.
The truck driver sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
