TOWN OF CHASE, WI — A 39-year-old man from Escanaba, Michigan, was killed in a motorcycle crash Sunday afternoon in Oconto County.
The incident occurred at approximately 1:30 p.m. at the intersection of County Highway S and Schwartz Road. According to the Oconto County Sheriff’s Office, a truck pulled into the intersection and collided with an eastbound motorcycle.
The motorcyclist succumbed to injuries sustained in the crash. The truck driver, a 48-year-old man from Oconto Falls, and his 25-year-old passenger were treated at the scene and released.
Authorities confirmed that the Oconto County Sheriff’s Office, Wisconsin State Patrol, and the Brown County Medical Examiner’s Office are investigating the incident. Additional details will be released as the investigation progresses. Lane closures were reported in the area during the response.
