A two-vehicle collision on Highway 101 near Mile Marker 45 resulted in one fatality and two injuries on October 5, according to State Patrol officials.
The crash occurred at approximately 1:30 p.m., involving a sedan and a pickup truck traveling northbound, authorities said.
Emergency responders from the County Fire Department provided medical aid at the scene, transporting two individuals to the nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the sedan, a 42-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to authorities.
All northbound lanes were closed for approximately two hours while an investigation was conducted and vehicles were towed from the scene.
Authorities are continuing their investigation into the cause of the crash.
