Four Fatal Crashes Reported Across the State, According to OSP Log.

THURSDAY, JAN. 15

8:06 a.m. — A three-vehicle accident on Highway 18 at the intersection with Highway 154 east of McMinnville resulted in the death of 32-year-old Isaac Andres Cisneros of Dayton. According to OREGON STATE POLICE (OSP), a Honda Civic, driven by a 33-year-old woman from Lafayette, attempted to cross Highway 18 and collided with Cisneros’ eastbound Audi A4. The impact sent both vehicles into the westbound lane, where they struck a westbound semitruck. Cisneros was pronounced dead at the scene; the Honda driver sustained minor injuries.


SATURDAY, JAN. 17

5:46 p.m. — A three-vehicle crash at the intersection of Kirtland Road (Highway 140) and High Banks Road, east of Tolo, claimed the life of 27-year-old Jeremy Bruno Fantechi of Grants Pass. Authorities reported that a Cadillac Escalade, driven by a 74-year-old man from Grants Pass, was northbound on High Banks Road and was struck by a Ford Escape operated by a 16-year-old girl from Central Point. Approximately five minutes later, Fantechi’s eastbound Harley Davidson motorcycle collided with the Cadillac at a high rate of speed. He was declared dead at the scene.


TUESDAY, JAN. 20

10:40 a.m. — A two-vehicle crash on Highway 212 east of Damascus in Clackamas County resulted in the death of 67-year-old Teresa Ann Castello of Boring. OSP’s preliminary investigation found that Castello, driving an eastbound Subaru Crosstrek, crossed the centerline and struck a westbound Ford Bronco, driven by a 32-year-old Boring woman, head-on. Castello was declared dead at the scene; the Ford driver suffered serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital.


THURSDAY, JAN. 22

9:42 a.m. — A single-vehicle crash on Highway 20 east of Harper Junction, Malheur County, resulted in the death of 61-year-old Mark Daniel Waggoner from Meridian, Idaho. OSP reported that Waggoner was driving a westbound Hyundai Kona when it left the roadway for undetermined reasons, rolled, and became submerged in the Malheur River. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
