Four individuals were killed in separate vehicle crashes across Arkansas between Wednesday and Friday, according to police reports.
A minor was fatally injured in a motorcycle accident on Wednesday at 9:19 a.m. in Centerton. The crash occurred at Arkansas 102 and Copper Oaks Drive when a 2023 Ford F-150 pulled out of a driveway and was struck by a Kawasaki Ninja driven by the minor, authorities said.
In Madison County, a two-vehicle collision resulted in the death of 87-year-old James Anderson of Hindsville on Wednesday at 2:42 p.m. The accident happened at U.S. 412 and County Road 8625 when Anderson, driving a 2015 Ford Flex, attempted to turn but failed to yield to a Freightliner truck, which collided with his vehicle, according to officials.
On Thursday, 65-year-old Ray Belcher of Wickes died in a single-vehicle crash in Polk County at approximately 12:15 p.m. Belcher was driving a 2002 Toyota Tundra east on County Road 8 when the vehicle left the road twice before overturning and ejecting him.
An additional fatality was reported on Friday at 9:23 a.m. in Independence County. Wilfred Conditt, 80, of Newport was driving north on a 2022 Ford Explorer at the intersection of Arkansas 69 and 69B when his vehicle veered off the road, ascended an embankment, and rolled over, authorities confirmed.
In all four incidents, weather conditions were noted as clear and road conditions as dry at the time of the crashes. Investigations are ongoing.
