A Chambersburg man died following a motorcycle crash in Hamiltonban Township, Adams County, on July 3, 2026, according to Pennsylvania State Police.
Marty Shultz, 56, was riding a 2006 Honda motorcycle eastbound on Cold Springs Road at approximately 5:58 p.m. when he failed to negotiate a left turn, exited the roadway, and struck an embankment, police said.
First responders airlifted Shultz to WellSpan York Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries on July 4, according to the York County Coroner’s Office.
Authorities confirmed that Shultz was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. No other vehicles were involved, and there were no additional injuries reported.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
