A 16-year-old boy from Fulton died early Sunday morning in a Polaris side-by-side crash in Callaway County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP), the incident occurred at approximately 2:17 a.m. on Beaver Spur at Chapel Drive.
Troopers reported that the Polaris side-by-side was traveling north when it skidded off the right side of the roadway and overturned. The teen, who was riding as a passenger, was ejected from the vehicle.
He was pronounced dead at the scene at 3:11 a.m. Authorities confirmed he was not wearing a safety device at the time of the crash.
The crash report did not include details about the driver. The side-by-side was deemed totaled and subsequently towed from the scene.
This incident represents the fourth fatality for Troop F in October and the 53rd of the year. Investigation into the crash is ongoing.
