GOLDSBORO, N.C. (WITN) – A 41-year-old man was killed in a motorcycle crash on US 70 West at N. William Street on Tuesday.
David Langston was pronounced dead at the scene after a pickup truck struck his motorcycle. Authorities said the truck driver was traveling the wrong way on the highway.
On Friday, the Goldsboro Police Department announced charges against 83-year-old Edward Stewart, including:
- Misdemeanor death by motor vehicle
- Reckless driving
- Driving wrong way on a dual lane highway
Stewart turned himself in to law enforcement. He received a $7,500 unsecured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on December 14.
