A 35-year-old man from Hamden is in critical condition after his motorcycle crashed into a body of water early Wednesday morning in New Haven.
Emergency responders from the New Haven Police Department arrived at the intersection of Ella T Grasso Boulevard and Crescent Street at approximately 12:52 a.m. According to authorities, the motorcycle was traveling north when it veered off the road and into the water.
Bystanders assisted emergency crews in rescuing the driver, who sustained life-threatening injuries. He was subsequently transported to a local hospital.
The accident remains under investigation by police, with no additional details available at this time.
