A motorcyclist was pronounced dead following a crash northwest of DePue on Tuesday evening.
Emergency responders arrived at 7 p.m. in the 2000 block of Arlington Drive. Firefighters from DePue and Spring Valley reported that the motorcyclist was found unconscious at the scene. The LaSalle County Coroner was dispatched and confirmed the individual was deceased.
According to authorities, an Illinois State Police Accident Reconstructionist is investigating the incident. No other vehicles were reported involved in the crash. Further information on the motorcyclist’s age and identity has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
