JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A 23-year-old motorcyclist was critically injured early Thursday after a pickup truck changed lanes on the I-295 flyover ramp from I-95 southbound, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The incident occurred at approximately 4:53 a.m. when the pickup truck moved into the path of the motorcycle. Following the collision, the motorcyclist lost control, struck a concrete barrier, and ended up on a grass shoulder near the exit leading to the I-295 northbound entrance ramp.
The pickup truck continued southbound on I-295 without stopping, authorities said. The Florida Highway Patrol is asking for any information regarding the vehicle or its whereabouts.
