Kennewick Motorcyclist Identified Following Fatal Hildebrand Crash.

A 23-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a crash on Hildebrand Boulevard on Friday night, identified as Joeseph “Joe” McNeil.

The incident occurred around 8:40 p.m. near the corner of South Penn Street, where McNeil’s motorcycle reportedly struck a curb, according to Chief Deputy Coroner Dennis Morris.

Witnesses stated McNeil was riding with a friend and was communicating through helmet microphones. His friend heard McNeil curse and saw him leave the roadway, Morris reported.

McNeil was declared deceased prior to reaching Trios Southridge Hospital, stated Kennewick police. The precise cause of the crash is under investigation.

The collision marks the second fatal incident in the Tri-Cities on Friday night. Earlier, a woman was killed on the Highway 240 bypass in a crash involving a semi-truck.

A GoFundMe campaign has been established to assist with funeral expenses, organized by Alivia Rocha. She described McNeil as “deeply loved” by family and friends.

Authorities noted police markings at the crash site, which remain part of the ongoing investigation. Lane closures were in effect during the response.

The community has placed a memorial in tribute to McNeil at the crash site.
