LEWIS COUNTY, Ky. (WSAZ) – A multi-vehicle crash on KY 59 left one dead and two injured on Saturday evening.
The incident occurred at approximately 8:05 p.m. near the 7400 block of KY 59, according to Kentucky State Police.
Authorities reported that a red Chevrolet Cruze struck a Kia Forte traveling northbound. The Kia then collided with a silver Dodge Ram.
A passenger in the Kia Forte, Paulette C. Evans, 53, of Vanceburg, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Lewis County Coroner.
Two juvenile passengers from the Kia were airlifted to the University of Kentucky Hospital; their conditions are reported as stable.
Emergency response included assistance from the Lewis County Sheriff’s Department, the Lewis County Coroner’s Office, and multiple fire and EMS agencies.
The investigation into the crash remains ongoing.
