Memorial Ride Pays Tribute to Teen Who Died in Motorcycle Crash in Redmond.

Memorial Ride Held for Redmond Teen Following Motorcycle Crash

A memorial ride honoring 19-year-old Carson Messinger took place on Saturday in Redmond, Oregon, following his fatal motorcycle crash on July 22.

Messinger succumbed to life-threatening injuries sustained in a collision with a Jeep in northwest Redmond. The accident occurred on the night of July 22, and he died the following day. Authorities confirmed the crash details but have not released additional information regarding the circumstances.

Approximately 100 motorcyclists and other vehicles participated in the three-hour ride, organized by friends Courtnee Lunsford and Jonathan Lewis, both of whom knew Messinger from the biking community. The event began at General Duffy’s, passed by Messinger’s family home, and concluded at Ridgeview High School after a stop at the Cove Palisades.

Lunsford stated, “When you lose someone especially so young, it impacts everyone— the community, the family, the friends.” Lewis added, “We’re honored to do this for him, one last little hurrah, and we will forever ride in his memory.”

Police and emergency services responded to the initial crash, and the ongoing investigation is being handled by the appropriate authorities. Further updates on the incident may follow as more information becomes available.
