Michigan motorcyclist, 21, injured after speeding over 150 mph and crashing into car on Detroit freeway.

A 21-year-old man was found unresponsive following a high-speed motorcycle crash on northbound I-75, near eastbound Davison, Wednesday night.

According to Michigan State Police, the crash occurred at 11:20 p.m. when the motorcyclist, identified as a Sterling Heights resident, rear-ended a Honda CRV while allegedly traveling over 150 mph. The collision caused the CRV to hit the median wall and come to a stop in the left lane.

First responders monitored the motorcyclist’s breathing until the Detroit Fire Department arrived and transported him to a local hospital. His condition has not been disclosed. The driver of the Honda CRV was not injured in the incident.

Authorities closed the freeway temporarily for an investigation; it has since reopened. Michigan State Police emphasized the dangers of excessive speed, stating there is “absolutely no reason to drive over 150 miles per hour.”
