Mansfield Man Seriously Injured in Motorcycle Accident
A 74-year-old man from Mansfield suffered serious injuries in a motorcycle crash on Missouri 5, two miles north of Ava, on Friday.
The man collided with the rear of a vehicle making a turn and was subsequently flown to Mercy Hospital in Springfield for treatment, according to authorities.
In a separate incident on Sunday, two juveniles were injured in Texas County when a 16-year-old driver lost control of the vehicle and struck a tree on U.S. 63, six miles north of Licking. The 13-year-old passenger sustained moderate injuries, while the 16-year-old driver suffered minor injuries, as reported by the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP).
Also on Sunday, a 63-year-old man from San Antonio, Texas, was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident in Shannon County. He overturned after running off Highway 19, located 17 miles north of Eminence. He was flown to Mercy Hospital in Springfield for medical assistance, authorities said.
Additionally, a 33-year-old man from Hartville was injured in a motorcycle crash in Wright County on Sunday. The man suffered moderate injuries when he veered off the road and overturned on Highway F, seven miles northwest of Hartville.
The status of investigations into these incidents is ongoing.
