A motorcycle crash on northbound Santa Fe Drive in Sheridan resulted in one fatality early Wednesday morning, according to police.
The incident occurred at 6:08 a.m. when a motorcyclist collided with the back of an Xcel Energy utility truck near the intersection of Santa Fe Drive and westbound U.S. 285, also known as Hampden Avenue, authorities said. Additional details about the circumstances leading to the crash are not yet available.
Northbound Santa Fe Drive was closed for nearly four hours as emergency responders secured the area. The road reopened at 9:44 a.m., police confirmed.
The identity of the deceased will be released by the Arapahoe County Coroner’s Office.
