PENN TOWNSHIP, Pa. —
One person is dead following a motorcycle crash involving a sedan in Lancaster County on Sunday evening.
The Lancaster County Coroner identified the victim as 69-year-old Jody Bush of Parkesburg, Pennsylvania. Bush was a passenger on the motorcycle during the collision, which occurred on South Oak Street at Fruitville Pike around 5:40 p.m.
Northern Lancaster County Regional Police reported that both riders on the motorcycle sustained injuries and were transported to the hospital. Bush later died from her injuries around 6:30 p.m. Her death has been ruled an accident.
Witnesses reported seeing a motorcycle on the ground and a sedan with front-end damage at the scene. Emergency crews responded promptly to the incident, and the road has since been cleared for traffic.
Authorities are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
