Vienna, NY (July 22, 2026) – A 37-year-old motorcyclist from Canastota died Wednesday evening following a two-vehicle crash on State Route 13, according to the New York State Police.
The incident occurred around 5:05 p.m. when Ryan A. Lyke was riding northbound on a 2022 Harley-Davidson motorcycle. Authorities said a southbound 2020 Nissan Frontier, operated by 90-year-old Leo G. Seaton of Camden, attempted a left turn into Lyke’s path, resulting in a collision.
Lyke was transported to Rome Health, where he was pronounced deceased. The New York State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit responded to the scene. A Drug Recognition Expert assessed the driver of the pickup truck and found no signs of impairment.
