LAS VEGAS — A motorcycle crash on State Route 159 resulted in one fatality on Sunday, May 31, according to the Nevada Highway Patrol.
The incident occurred shortly after noon near mile marker 3 in Clark County. A 2024 Suzuki GSX-R750 was traveling westbound when the rider lost control and veered into the eastbound lane.
Authorities reported that the motorcycle overturned in the desert, ejecting the rider. The victim, identified as 28-year-old Lance Steven Pangan Casuga of Henderson, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Nevada State Police Highway Patrol Major Incident Reconstruction Team is currently investigating the circumstances of the crash.
As of this year, the Nevada State Police Highway Patrol Southern Command has recorded 30 fatal accidents resulting in 33 fatalities.
