FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (FOX26) — A head-on collision early Thursday morning in Fresno County resulted in the death of a motorcyclist.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred at approximately 6 a.m. on Reed Avenue, north of Annadale Avenue. A southbound Lexus crossed into the northbound lane to overtake slower traffic.
The motorcyclist, traveling northbound, collided head-on with the Lexus, leading to fatal injuries for the rider.
The Lexus driver did not sustain injuries, remained at the scene, and is cooperating with authorities.
CHP officials reported no signs of alcohol or drug impairment involved in the crash.
