A motorcycle crash in Redford Township, Michigan, resulted in the death of the rider Sunday afternoon.
The incident occurred around 2:41 p.m. at the intersection of Plymouth Road and Beech Daly Road, according to the Redford Township Police Department. Responding officers discovered a motorcycle on fire with the injured rider nearby. They provided initial aid before the individual was transported to Corewell Health Farmington Hills Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Authorities said the motorcycle rider was traveling northbound on Beech Daly Road when a white Cadillac attempted a left turn from southbound Beech Daly onto eastbound Plymouth Road, leading to the collision. The Cadillac driver fled the scene but the vehicle was recovered later in Detroit.
