OCONTO COUNTY (WLUK) — A 39-year-old motorcyclist from Escanaba, Michigan, died Sunday afternoon in a crash involving a truck in Oconto County.
According to the Oconto County Sheriff’s Office, emergency dispatchers received a call at 1:35 p.m. about the collision at the intersection of CTH S and Schwartz Road in the Town of Chase.
The preliminary investigation revealed that a truck traveling on Schwartz Road was struck on the passenger side by an eastbound motorcycle on County Highway S.
Authorities confirmed the motorcyclist sustained fatal injuries in the crash. The truck’s driver, a 48-year-old man from Oconto Falls, was evaluated at the scene and released. A 25-year-old passenger in the truck was also assessed and released.
The Oconto County Sheriff’s Office, in conjunction with the Wisconsin State Patrol and the Brown County Medical Examiner’s Office, is investigating the incident. No further information is available at this time.
