NEW SEWICKLEY TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A 65-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a crash on Fezell Road on Monday evening.
The incident occurred around 5:30 p.m. in the 500 block of Fezell Road. According to New Sewickley Police, the motorcycle was traveling north when it veered off the east side of the roadway, went over an embankment, and overturned multiple times.
Authorities confirmed the driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Coroner David Gabauer identified the victim as John Paytas at 5:22 p.m. on Tuesday.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash. The roadway was closed for approximately three hours due to the accident.
New Sewickley Police are continuing their investigation into the cause of the crash.
