The incident occurred just before 4 p.m. when a Hyundai Sonata, traveling west on Southwest 40th Street, turned onto 57th Avenue in front of the motorcyclist, resulting in a T-bone collision.
Authorities reported the rider, who was on a Kawasaki motorcycle, died at the scene. The identity of the victim has not been released.
Investigators have not indicated whether the driver of the Hyundai will face any charges or citations related to the incident. Emergency responders were on the scene to manage the situation.
Lanes in the area were closed temporarily following the crash as officials conducted their investigation.
