A motorcyclist was killed in a collision with a semi-truck Saturday evening on Route 47 in Kendall County.
The crash occurred at approximately 7:35 p.m. when a Harley-Davidson motorcycle traveling southbound crossed the center line, colliding with a northbound semi-truck on its front driver’s side, according to the Illinois State Police.
The motorcyclist, whose identity has not yet been released, was thrown from the bike and succumbed to injuries at the scene. The truck driver was uninjured.
Authorities have not announced any further details regarding the investigation or potential charges. The area experienced lane closures following the incident as emergency responders managed the scene.
