SHINGOBEE TOWNSHIP, MN — A fatal accident involving a semi-truck and motorcycle occurred on southbound Highway 371 near milepost 86 on Thursday, August 20.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the semi-truck veered toward the right shoulder, colliding with the motorcyclist, who then struck a cable barrier. The truck subsequently ran over the motorcycle operator.
The motorcyclist, identified as a 30-year-old man from Vadnais Heights, sustained fatal injuries at the scene. Emergency responders were deployed promptly, but the individual was pronounced dead upon arrival.
Authorities confirmed that the crash has prompted an ongoing investigation. Lane closures were in effect as cleanup and investigation efforts continued. No additional injuries have been reported.
