Father Dies in Motorcycle Crash While Honoring Late Daughter’s Memory.

ANCHORAGE, Alaska – Timothy Hoffman, 58, died Sunday after losing control of his motorcycle on the Parks Highway during a memorial ride for his daughter.

According to Alaska State Troopers, the incident occurred around 1:30 p.m. near mile 49, close to South Rainbow Street. Hoffman and his passenger, his wife Jeannie, were both found unresponsive after the crash.

Timothy was not wearing a helmet, while Jeannie was, authorities said. Both were hospitalized with life-threatening injuries; Timothy was pronounced dead shortly after, and Jeannie remains in critical condition.

The group was participating in an annual memorial ride for Cynthia Hoffman, fatally murdered in 2019. The tribute included stops at the Victims for Justice Memorial and Thunderbird Falls.

The crash closed the Parks Highway for approximately two and a half hours, with traffic diverted to an adjacent frontage road. The investigation into the accident is ongoing.

Timothy Hoffman’s daughter, Cynthia, was 19 years old when she was murdered. Two of her killers were sentenced to 99 years each, while the remaining defendants await sentencing.

An account has been established at Matanuska Valley Federal Credit Union for donations to support Timothy Hoffman’s family with medical and household expenses.
