Penn Township, PA (August 22, 2026) – Authorities responded to a fatal motorcycle-tractor-trailer collision on Walnut Bottom Road early Friday morning.
The crash occurred around 7:30 a.m. in the 1600 block, according to Pennsylvania State Police. A Texas man was operating a Freightliner tractor-trailer when he began backing out of a private driveway, entering the roadway.
Witnesses reported that a motorcyclist on a Suzuki, approaching the hill, attempted to brake but collided with the rear of the truck. First responders arrived shortly after emergency dispatch calls, but the motorcyclist sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The tractor-trailer driver was unharmed.
Police issued a traffic infraction for improper backing to the tractor-trailer driver. The investigation remains ongoing.
