LEAVENWORTH, Kan. —
A 64-year-old Colorado man died in a motorcycle crash Saturday evening at an intersection in Leavenworth.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported the incident occurred around 6:15 p.m. at the intersection of South 10th Street and Cherokee Street.
According to authorities, the motorcyclist was riding a 2001 Harley-Davidson westbound on Cherokee Street when he failed to stop at a stop sign and collided with a northbound 2017 Toyota Camry.
The motorcyclist, identified as Guy Woods of Fountain, Colorado, was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. The driver of the Camry sustained suspected minor injuries.
Emergency responders are on the scene, and the crash is under investigation.
