LENOIR COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) – A motorcycle crash in Lenoir County left one man dead early Wednesday morning.
Just before 7 a.m. on July 12, troopers responded to an incident on Jenny Lind Road, near Bear Creek Road.
According to the North Carolina Highway Patrol, 31-year-old Shay Hill was driving south when he crossed the centerline and collided with 70-year-old Keith Manning, who was riding a motorcycle.
Authorities confirmed that Manning died at the scene, while Hill sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital.
The Highway Patrol indicated that the district attorney is reviewing the case for potential charges.
Jenny Lind Road was temporarily closed to facilitate the investigation and emergency response.
