MATTHEWS, N.C. — A four-vehicle crash, including a motorcycle, resulted in one fatality at the intersection of East John Street and McKee Road on Thursday at 9:34 p.m.
The motorcycle driver, identified as Jonathan Tyler Hill, 40, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Authorities. Emergency responders from Matthews Fire and EMS attempted life-saving measures but were unsuccessful.
One additional person involved in the crash was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
East John Street remained closed from McKee Road to Interstate 485 from approximately 9:40 p.m. until 1:10 a.m. the following morning.
Matthews Police are investigating the incident, and further details will be released as they become available.
