ROANOKE COUNTY, Va. (WDBJ) – A motorcyclist was killed in a crash on Saturday night, according to Roanoke County Police.
The incident occurred at approximately 8:30 p.m. on August 8, 2026, at the intersection of Dow Hollow Road and W. Main Street, near Dixie Caverns. No other vehicles were involved in the incident.
Authorities reported the motorcyclist succumbed to injuries at a local hospital shortly after the crash.
The victim’s identity has not been disclosed pending notification of next of kin.
An investigation is ongoing. No additional information has been released regarding lane closures or traffic disruptions.
