Motorcyclist Killed in Three-Vehicle Crash Near Central Point

A 27-year-old man died Saturday afternoon in a three-vehicle crash at the intersection of Kirkland Road and High Banks Road, north of Central Point.
According to the Oregon State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit, Micheal Bryan Dickerson, 27, was driving a Cadillac Escalade north on High Banks Road when he entered Kirkland Road, colliding with a Ford Escape operated by a 16-year-old female from Central Point.
Approximately five minutes after the initial collision, a Harley Davidson Electra Glide motorcycle, operated by Jeremy Bruno Fantechi, struck the Cadillac at a high rate of speed. Fantechi was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities reported that both Dickerson and the female driver sustained no injuries. The investigation temporarily closed the area for about four hours.
The Oregon State Police was assisted on the scene by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, Jackson County Fire District 3, and the Oregon Department of Transportation.
