SHREVEPORT, La. – Authorities are investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash that occurred late Friday night on Interstate 20.
Officers responded to the scene near Monkhouse Drive at approximately 11:30 p.m. following reports of a motorcycle accident. The Shreveport Fire Department transported the 38-year-old motorcyclist to Ochsner LSU Health, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
According to investigators with the Crash Investigation Unit, the motorcyclist was traveling eastbound when he lost control and was ejected onto the roadway. A passing vehicle subsequently struck the man and fled the scene.
