Wrong-Way Crash on I-10 Claims Woman’s Life in Fiery Collision.

One Dead in Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-10 West in Louisiana

A 21-year-old woman was killed in a multi-vehicle crash on I-10 westbound near milepost 210 on Tuesday at approximately 11 p.m., according to Louisiana State Police.

Authorities identified the deceased as Patricia Saidu, who was pronounced dead at the scene. The other driver sustained serious injuries; their identity has not been released.

Preliminary investigations reveal that a truck entered I-10 in the wrong direction, colliding head-on with a sedan traveling west. The impact caused both vehicles to catch fire, prompting emergency response from local agencies.

Troopers collected routine toxicology samples from both drivers, and the investigation is ongoing to determine the circumstances of the crash, including potential impairment or seatbelt use.

Authorities remind drivers to avoid fatigue, ensure all passengers are restrained, and refrain from driving impaired. For reckless driving incidents, dial 911 or LSP (577) to connect with local law enforcement.

This is a developing story; further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
