Motorcyclist Identified Following Fatal Crash on State Route 7.

Motorcyclist Dies in Collision with Tow Truck on State Route 7 in Spanaway

SPANAWAY, WA — A 20-year-old motorcyclist, Keylan Quiroz, died in a collision with a tow truck on State Route 7 at 5:59 p.m. on June 4, 2026.

According to the Washington State Patrol (WSP), Quiroz was pronounced dead at the scene due to blunt-force injuries. The tow truck driver was reported uninjured.

Both northbound and southbound lanes of State Route 7 were closed for several hours, reopening at approximately 8:44 p.m., WSP Trooper Kameron Watts stated.

The incident is under investigation by WSP. Further details regarding the circumstances of the crash have not yet been released.

A GoFundMe has been established to assist Quiroz’s family, raising $6,142 of a $13,000 goal as of June 9. Quiroz was reportedly on his way to visit his girlfriend at the time of the accident.
