EWA BEACH, Hawaii – A motorcycle crash on Fort Weaver Road left a 30-year-old man hospitalized in critical condition on Sunday morning.
The collision occurred at approximately 10:40 a.m. when the motorcyclist, who has not yet been named, rear-ended a 28-year-old man slowing for a parked vehicle on the right shoulder, according to authorities. The impact ejected the motorcyclist onto the roadway.
Emergency responders transported the injured rider to a nearby hospital. Police confirmed that the motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet at the time of the incident.
Authorities noted that initial investigations indicate speed may have been a contributing factor, but drugs or alcohol are not suspected.
