FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — A motorcycle collision at the intersection of 92A Street and the Alaska Highway on June 9 resulted in injuries to the motorcyclist.
At approximately 6:39 p.m., a white SUV struck a Harley-Davidson motorcycle while the SUV was making a left turn onto 92A Street, according to Constable Chad Neustaeter of the Fort St. John RCMP. The motorcyclist was transported to the hospital by ambulance with unspecified injuries.
Authorities reported that the two passengers in the SUV were unharmed. The driver received a ticket for failing to yield during the turn.
Neustaeter emphasized the importance of caution when making left-hand turns, noting that such maneuvers are common points of collision due to the crossing of oncoming traffic. The RCMP also reminded drivers to remain vigilant as motorcycle traffic increases with the warmer weather.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
