Motorcyclist Killed in Collision Near Palm Springs
A 36-year-old motorcyclist died in a crash involving a vehicle in North Palm Springs on Sunday morning, August 16, 2026.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred around 7 a.m. at the intersection of North Indian Canyon Drive and Teagarden Drive. A gray Kia was westbound on Teagarden Drive making a left turn when the motorcyclist, identified as Lester C. from Desert Hot Springs, collided with the left side of the Kia.
Lester C. fell onto the roadway and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver and a passenger in the Kia remained on-site. The Kia driver was transported to Desert Regional Medical Center with neck and back pain.
Authorities stated that drugs and alcohol are not suspected to have contributed to the accident. The investigation is ongoing.
