KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – A motorcyclist was killed in a crash early Tuesday morning on Missouri 152 Highway, authorities reported.
The Kansas City Police Department said emergency crews responded at 1:45 a.m. to the intersection of Missouri 152 Highway and U.S. 169 following reports of a collision.
Upon arrival, officers found the motorcyclist, traveling westbound, failed to negotiate the curve at the southbound ramp to U.S. 169, causing the bike to veer off the roadway.
The motorcycle subsequently descended a ravine and struck a tree. Emergency responders noted that the rider was ejected from the motorcycle and was declared dead at the scene.
The cause of the crash is under investigation, and KCPD has not yet released the identity of the deceased.
