Motorcyclist Killed in Accident.

(Michigan City, IN) – A 34-year-old motorcyclist died from injuries sustained in an afternoon accident on E. William St.

According to authorities, Brandon Summerlin was riding his motorcycle around 4:30 p.m. when a passenger vehicle pulled out in front of him at the intersection of Pine and E. William St. Summerlin braked to avoid a collision but lost control, falling onto the pavement and sustaining life-threatening injuries.

Emergency responders transported Summerlin to a hospital in South Bend, where he later died. Police confirmed he was not wearing a helmet or other protective gear at the time of the incident.

Investigators are currently awaiting test results to determine if alcohol or drugs were factors for either driver, according to police.

Authorities are urging anyone who witnessed the crash or has relevant information to contact the Michigan City Police Department.
